Our Policy is to inform you at all times what our fees will be.
For some work, we charge a fixed amount and for other work our fees are based on how much work we do. How we charge for our services will be discussed with you when you first consult us and disclosed in a written Fee Disclosure and Agreement which we will ask you to sign if you decide to go further with your matter. This then forms the contract between us and you and sets out the work you want us to do.
Conveyancing Fees
In most residential conveyancing, our fees to act for a buyer or a seller are a pre-set amount of $990.00 including GST plus expenses such as relevant searches and title registration costs.
Typical Costs on a Sale
Typically the expenses we will incur for you will be about $100.00. If you have a mortgage, your bank will charge you a fee and the normal contract requires you to pay the cost to release your mortgage.
Typical Costs on a Purchase
We would consider certain searches as fundamental and they usually cost no more than $200.00. There is also the cost to register the title transfer charged by the NSW Titles Office of $184.00.
Caution. We will give you a written estimate of our fees when we take a closer look at the work you require us to do for example, some rural and commercial conveyances are far more complex and our fees will reflect this.
Wills, Powers of Attorney and Guardianship Appointments
We can prepare very complex wills, and our fees will reflect the work involved. In many instances our clients require a fairly straight forward will and this is shown in our fees below. We also offer extra value to you by offering other legal documents which complement a will such as a powers of attorney or guardianship appointments.
